He was created the world famous Rubik cube 40 years ago. His contrivance is more than a simple toy. Many really clever guys are racing that who is able fastest in this logical party.
Ernő Rubik was born in Budapest, 13 July 1944, when the II World War was at last months. His parents gave him a good start for him life: his father was airplane-engineer (science), his mother was a poet (art). He studied also art but qualified as an architect. He is a university professor and established a foundation to support talented youth. He created many other toys, but nothing became so famous as the Rubik cube.
Mr. Rubik has won numerous awards, and this spring he became honorary citizen of Budapest.
